Carbon footprint diary

Tracking the impact of everyday action

There is no better place to start taking care of our planet than our own garden. That is why we should do our very best to reduce our own environmental footprint before pointing the fingers at others. Working towards decreasing our own environmental footprint is a journey full of learning opportunities where we can discover new solutions and cultivate compassion.

We know, inside of us, when we are doing something good. However, sometimes it is difficult to know is something is “good enough”. In these situations numbers can help!

To understand more about his own environmental impact and act to minimize it,  Mirko, Compassi’s founder, has started to track the greenhouse gas emissions of his own lifestyle and daily choices. This datasheet acts as a personal compass that can inform and spur reflections, which in turns can help orient daily decisions.

In the Carbon footprint diary project, Mirko shares with you the most interesting results of this exercise, hoping that sharing some of the learning can also spur reflections on other people.

Plus, the model is freely available, so you can use it too! Also, we are here to co-create, so if you have any suggestions and ideas on how to improve this, please reach out and let’s together improve the tool.
